Big goals can trigger big fears. When you put your heart and soul into a project, the reality of your launch can create sudden overwhelm. Very soon, you’ll be at the point of making it or breaking it: a realization that, if left unmanaged, can put you into freeze mode.

Some of the common fears before a big launch are:

Fear of visibility: If you don’t like the spotlight, then putting your offer on the market can feel uncomfortable, as it will inevitably draw attention to your business.

Fear of criticism: Your offer is your creation, and as such you may think of it as a part of you. With that logic, any potential criticism might feel like criticism of YOU – which makes that scenario even scarier.

Fear of failing: Having put in all that work, you want your new offer to take off like a rocket! But the thought of a potential failure can create doubt: is it worth it – and do you really have what it takes?

These worst-case scenarios can make it seem incredibly attractive to simply stop and let go of those big goals: not moving ahead simply feels safer! But if business growth is what you really want, you know that you need to plough through that pile of fears and get that launch done!

To get you out of freeze mode and into action, here are three simple steps you can take:

  1. Ask yourself why you want that big launch! What are you hoping to achieve with it? What would a successful launch bring you? Take time to reflect. Success isn’t just about money, you might also want things like feeling proud of yourself, establishing a new business model, being a role model for those close to you, feeling creatively fulfilled…

  2. What’s the one thing you can do right now to make it happen? Pushing through means getting things done – but as you’re already in a fear-based mode, try to be nice to yourself. One thing is easier to do than ten! So, choose ONE simple action you can take that moves you closer to that launch. It’s all about progress, so keeping the ball rolling is more important than making sure that it goes fast and far.
  3. What do you need to do it? If you’re feeling low or unmotivated, think about how you can change that around. You want to make productivity easy. So, whatever you need to energize yourself – whether it’s getting caffeinated with a friend, going to the gym or listening to your favorite party song – do that!

These simple steps will help you increase your motivation, set your focus and take action! Not only will you move closer to your big launch AND your big goals – you’ll also prove to yourself that you DO have what it takes!
